This is the newest compilation of this song, and as always features Bono.

Tuesday Tunesday: Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams

This was one of my favourite songs on T-Swfts 1989 album, so I was pretty happy when it was her announced to be her next single.

Happy 3 Years!

Today marks THREE years with the hubs!  I am so excited to see what the rest of the years of us being together will bring. I mean, we are going to be parents!!  Love you more than anything.  Glad we chose each other.

And as today is also Tuesday Tunesday...  I feel as it is only right to pick our wedding song:

Give In To Me by Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester (as featured in Country Song)

So I just heard this song on Spotify. And yup, it may have brought a tear to my emotional prego eyes.

Tuesday Tunesday

The tune of the week is dedicated to my lovely hubs.

Luke Bryan - Kick The Dust Up.

I know how much he loves it.

I actually find this song super catchy.  Sure country music isn't really 'country' anymore, but I like it that way.

Tuesday Tunesday

Been listening to my old iPod lately and I haven't updated it since, oh about 2 years ago.

I was/am one of those people who just downloads the entire album and added the whole thing without listening to them prior.  I regret that now as its been a pain in the ass.

That being said there is a lot of crap on it. And a lot of hidden gems.

Like this one:

Lifehouse: Sick Cycle Carousel

Tuesday Tunesday- Death Cab For Cutie

I almost had a double murder happen in my house this morning.  Both my dogs decided to be assholes and make some sort of mess during hte night. Tobi decided it would be fun to eat a pillow case and a red fleece blanket, along with shit (yes acutall poop)- then throw it up. Luigi decided it would be fun to have a pissing contest with himself and pissed all over the hardwood floor. Let's just say I was not a happy camper this morning. Nothing like cleaning regurgitated shit and piss to make the morning bright!

So, in order to not freak and kill someone on the road I pulled out my huge CD binder from my trunk , and I'm in the habit of just pulling out a CD at random and forcing myself to listen to that one. I guess in a way to see why I took the time and effort to burn the CD, make the mix, what have you. I have come across a lot of shitty mixes and bands that I have no idea why I liked at one point. Then there are some hidden gems, some forgotten melodies that just resurface.  One of these is Death Cab For Cuties- Transatlanticism.

I completely forgot how great this CD is. It totally brought back memories of a younger university days.  I can't even pick my favourite song. From The Sound of Settling, to the title track. All good. I just saw on Buzzfeed that its the 10thth year anniversary of this album! Go me for timing! This list is all abouthow this album is full of gems that make you cry, and its totally is. I remeber driving around in my car just bawling like a little emo kid... before emos were deemed a thing.
15 Death Cab For Cutie Lyrics That Made You Cry Yourself To Sleep

Do yourself a favour and go back and listen to it. Or play the pick whatever CD you grab and listen to in its entirety.
"So this is the new year.
And i don't feel any different.
The clanking of crystal
Explosions off in the distance (in the distance).
So this is the new year
And I have no resolutions
For self assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions
So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As thirty dialogs bleed into one
I wish the world was flat like the old days
Then i could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes, or speed trains, or freeways
There'd be no distance that could hold us back.
There'd be no distance that could hold us back
So this is the new year " -

And on that note I decided I am going to start re-watching The OC. I mean Seth is awesome, as was mentioned in Buzzfeed not once, but twice.  He really was the best part of the show!

26 Reasons We Should All Be Exactly Like Seth Cohen

He has great taste in music.

Weekly Re-Cap numero five-o plus Tuesday Tunesday

I realize this is a little late, but I have a good excuse- it was Thanksgiving!!! I was too busy eating turkey and drinking wine that I didn't get a chance to flip open the ol' MacBook.

With Thanksgiving came cooking and it was G and mine's turn to host for my family. We decided to do things a little different and we deep fried the 22lb bird! It was SO good. If I knew how to give out samples via the internet I would.   The rest of the meal was also pretty fantastic!

What else is new though? Well me and my hubs fell into peer pressure and booked a trip to CUBA!!!!!!! That means I have one month to get in shape!

Books I've Read This Week: Berlin Wolf by Mark Florida-James, Hyperbole and A Half by Allie Brosh and Intelligently Designed by Edward Caudill

I'm Reading: From A Dead Sleep by John Daly

The importance of reading.

On the Blog:
-Walking Dead is back on the air!
-I made a delicious One Pot Chicken Risotto
-I did a compilation of book reviews and partook in the WWW meme. The book reviews include: A Perfect Mess by Zoe Dawson, Lady by Thomas Tryon, What The Dog Knows by Cat Warren and Diary of Brad de Luca by Allesandra Torre.
- One Book, One Calgary is coming to town and presenting one of my fave authors!
- Tuesday Tunesday brought you Pompeii by Bastille and Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth
-And another book review of Broken Beauty by Chole Adams

Through the Internet World:

- The lovely Books, Tea & Me nominated me for the Versatile Award. This made me more happy than it should, but I don't care, First award bitches! I will pass it on very shortly! ( once I know the proper etiquette)

-Jimmy Fallon did it again with Mean Tweets:
Celebrities Read Mean Tweets About Themselves: Music Edition

-The Glee episode where they say farewell to Finn Hudson aka Cory Monteith was on. And boy was it a tearjerker....

- Buzzfeed made a list of  45 Times Harry Potter Fans Lost Their Cool A The Movie Theater, and well kudos to whoever made that list. So true!

Tuesday Tunesday: Jason Aldean (and others)

I wasn't a country fan before I met my husband. I despised it actually. Well I pretended too. I think growing up in a city where everyone pretends to be a cowboy/girl for 10 days every year and growing up a wannabe rebellious teen, I felt like I had to.  Then meeting a city-fied country boy, he kinda made me like it. Now I rock the cowboy boots, not even just during Stampede!

Anyways, Jason Aldean is coming to Calgary on Saturday so what better way to get pumped for it than to over listen to some songs:

Jason Aldean: Dirt Road Anthem

The opener: Jake Owen- Barefoto Blue Jean Night

and another opener Thomas Rhett- It Goes Like This

Tuesday Tunesday! Coldplay- Atlas plus some Catching Fire stuff

Coldplay is one of my favorite bands.  And they put on a spectacular live show, so I recommend that you check them out if you can!

Anyways, they recently put out a new song called Atlas, which is going to be on the Catching Fire soundtrack!  It's a really good song, making it seem that Coldplay is heading back to their roots!

Here it is:

And now for some Catching Fire stuff:

Can you believe its almost time! I was thrilled with how the Hunger Games turned out, so I am super excited for the second installment. First I have to re-read the books.

in anticipation for the movie!

And I have a girl crush on J-Law.

Tuesday Tunesday: Mumford and Sons

Here is their newest video too which is hilarious.
It took me a long time to appreciate these guys. I swear I listened to their album constantly, but never liked them and never understood why anyone would. But then one day it clicked, and now I love them. Here are some lyrics, which make beautiful quotes by the way!

Tuesday Tunesday! Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Another little weekly break from reading posts!

I have to say I haven't really been paying much attention to the new music out there, always just turning on the radio listening to the same Top 40 shit over and over.

That being said, if you have any recommendations to check out, please let me know! I feel like I'm in a music slump!

So what song am I diggin now,  is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis: Same Love

What a great message this song portrays.

Is this a meme you want to connect with?
