Revisiting Cinnamon Apple Water.

tablespoon.com
So, this pin has been floating around Pinterest for a while, and I decided to give it a try.

Its supposed to be help you lose weight and have a ton of energy! Perfect for my post partum body and my always tiredness.

It's actually rather simple to make. Right up my alley! Ready for it....

-Cinnamon Sticks

-Cut up an apple of your choice (I use granny smith as that's what I had)

-ice cubes

-water

-put together in a pitcher, chill for a while and drink up!

(if you actually needed the last instruction, all I can do is just shake my head at you)

Anyways, its actually pretty tasty. As a detox drink, I'm not sure what the actual proven benefits are, but meh, it gives water a tasty spin off.

My only hint is to cut the apples thinly. I think I used too big of a chunk so most of the flavor didn't dissipate.
It was delish and refreshing! The actual detoxing process? One will never know

Turmeric Milk

As I am still getting over a cold, I like to try other things than the traditional nyquil. (Although nyquil works wonders).

I always do my detox bath, which I shared yesterday.

And today after going on pinterest searching for natural remedies and I found a pretty delicious drink.

Turmeric Milk, also called "Golden Milk"

The Ingredients:

- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried ginger

How To:

Warm-up the milk on the saucepan. Add the turmeric and ginger. Keep stirring until its all warm and bubbly.  Once it starts to bubble, take it off the burner and cover it. Let it steep for 10 minutes.

Pour in cup.

I added two sticks of honey and sprinkled some cinnamon.  As the initial taste was a little hard to swallow.  But, after adding those it turned out to be pretty tasty. And probably something I will make again.

Apparently turmeric is super good for you too.  So win/win.

Detox Bath

It's Monday. And I have the remnants of the flu/cold.  So today I am going to share with you my go to detox bath. I try to do this before I resort to the drugs.

1) Fill up your tub with HOT water. Just as hot as you can handle it.

2) Add about 2 cups or so of epsom salts. This is great for

3) Add 1 cup of baking soda.

4) Add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar

5) Add 1 tbsp of ginger.

6) Add something to make it smell better.  I usually add a bag of peppermint tea. Essential oils work well too. If you want to focus on something in particular, choose that (lavender for relaxation for example)

7) Sit in the bath for at lest 20 minutes

8) Drink lots of water!
